SuperMarioGlitchy3, also known as SuperMemeGuardian3 or simply SMG3, is a fictional character, an evil counterpart of SuperMarioGlitchy4 and one of the main antagonists of the web series SMG4.
Role in Super Mario 64 Machinima
SMG4
As revealed in the episode SMG4's Origins, SuperMarioGlitchy3 and SuperMarioGlitchy4 were both originally sent to the Mushroom Kingdom from supernatural USB drives. At some point they once attended a "meme school", where SMG4 excelled at. This, along with their first meeting, ultimately sparked their rivalry.
SMG3 first appeared in Super Mario 64 Bloopers: SMG4 VS SMG3, where he was discovered ripping off SMG4's content on YouTube. SMG4, Mario and MCGustavo confronted him on the roof of Princess Peach's Castle, where he pulled a gun on his rival only to be defeated by FightingMario54321. He later appeared various times throughout the series, constantly attempting to harass SMG4's gang. In SMG3's plan to destroy SMG4 cause he felt Like it, he organized a group of several other villains to defeat the protagonists, only to once again be defeated. Likewise, in SMG3's Gauntlet of Gloom, he nearly gets revenge on SMG4 by attempting to upload humiliating footage of him while leaving SMG4 and Mario to try and survive his fortress.
While appearing sporatically over the years, SMG3 became the main antagonist of The YouTube Arc, creating his own production company called Snitch Productions and forming a new group to counter SMG4's. In Mario VS Youtube, he attempted to steal the from YouTube's headquarters and send Mario into the Internet Graveyard. In Deleted, he managed to use it to banish SMG4's group to the graveyard only for them to escape. In War Of The Fat Italians 2020, SMG3 attempts to defeat SMG4 at a competition only to be banished to the Internet Graveyard. However he would later gain control of the dimension after some time.
During Genesis Arc, SMG3 became a temporary ally of SMG4, met SMG1 and SMG2, and together they fight against SMG0. After that, he becomes closer friends with SMG4 and is willing to help him when the universe is in danger or practice their meme powers with him.
Trivia
- SuperMarioGlitchy3 may have been based off of the doppleganger concept from MarioMario54321's Doppleganger Arc, since SMG4 was a fan of his work. Notably, in his debut appearance SMG3 was referred to as a "dopple" on more than one occasion. SMG4 would also feature references to MM54321's SM64 Machinimas in his earlier videos as well, such as featuring the doppleganger OiramOiram12345 in videos such as Ssenmodnar as well as Join the Evil Side.
