64ify is a Vietnamese YouTuber, artist, speedrunner, former rom hacker, and Super Mario 64 Machinimist who originally joined YouTube on August 21, 2016. He is best known for taking SMG4's Twitter handle when his Twitter/Discord accounts got hacked on October 1, 2022 and for making many Super Mario 64 videos and memes.

History

Early Beginnings on YouTube

64ify signed up for YouTube on a channel he doesn't have access to anymore. Most of the content on the channel was mostly on Five Nights At Freddy's and Thomas & Friends. Until March of 2017, he had stopped uploading on the channel, due to his phone charger not properly working, which caused him to lose access to the channel. In 2017, he made a new channel called SuperMarioLogansTwin. He didn't post much on the channel except comment on Roblox related videos until it was later deleted sometime in mid-2018. Then on that year, he created a new second channel called Bootleg Plush. On the channel, he made plush videos heavily inspired by SuperMarioLogan, The Cute Mario Bros, and EpicMarioBros with his brother.

Starting Super Mario 64 Machinima

In 2019, he rebranded his channel to just "Bootleg", which then led him to create his first Super Mario 64 Machinima in October, permanently quitting plush videos after making it.

SM64 Rewind

On December 6th, 64ify made a "Top 10 Best SM64 Machinimists of 2019" list on Twitter. He made it for a video he was planning to make called "SM64 Rewind". It was criticized for it having SMG4 as most didn't consider him a machinimist and for having himself in it. Some came to his defense as he was still a kid at the time. After this situation died down, he kept making machinimas until the channel's deletion in January of 2020 when he changed his channel name to "Bootleg Kid 64".

Weegeeify and 12thScreams

During January, he left the SM64 Community and then made a meme Twitter account called "Weegeeify" in the same month. It was mainly a shitpost account and he would reply to Roblox and meme accounts with a random meme or just said something that sounded funny. He would also sometimes make a tweet with hashtag that was trending on twitter that would include something that he also thought sounded funny. 64ify would slowly return to the SM64 Machinima community as he was replying to people from that community. The twitter account would be suspended in January in the same month of its creation for unknown reasons.

He would then create a new twitter account with the same name just the handle being "Weeegeeify". During this time, he created a gimmick account named "Placed12th Screams" on January 18, 2020. The account is based off a clip made by animator Mayo. The next day, 64ify made a tweet saying if this tweet would get 50 retweets Mayo would have to follow his 12thScreams account. After hitting the goal, he later followed the account. On January 20th, the account was later deactivated due to 64ify not being able to handle an account with that many followers, which were in the hundreds. After the deactivation, he continued to be active on his Weegeeify account until it was later deactivated.

Roblox

In February of 2020, he decided to start making Roblox content as the alias "XB351". In February, he made a Twitter account with the name and would post drawings of Roblox avatars and sometimes OCs on twitter. Later in February, he made a YouTube channel with the same name. On it, he would make commentary/review type videos on Roblox games or people. He was inspired by Paze and Epikrika in terms of content creating. For a while, he remained active on both his XB351 Twitter and YouTube channel, until later deleting and deactivating both accounts, leading to the creation of the new alias called "Stafftastic" in March. He was still talking about Roblox and making content out of it on his new YouTube channel and Twitter. During March, the 12thScreams account would later be reactivated and return to activity on the 4th but was short lived. Before this, a schedule was made. On April 12th, the email connected to the Stafftastic channel had its password changed, presumably getting password guessed, leading him to make a new channel. He continued to make Roblox content on both YouTube and Twitter until quitting making Roblox stuff in the same month.

Return to the Super Mario 64 Machinima community

In May of 2020, he created a third new channel and Twitter account with another new alias named "Gampyz". On the channel, he made commentary videos about the SM64 Machinima community, most of it was on certain dramas happening within it. He still was able to make machinimas on the channel regardless. On his Twitter account, he would occasionally tweet SM64 meme related videos, pictures, and tweets. He also talked about drama in the Splatoon and SM64 Machinima community on there too.

Content Cop 64

64ify created a short-lived series called "Content Cop 64", inspired by Idubbbz' series with the same name but with a "64" at the end added. Only 3 videos from the series were made and ended on the third video on May 16th due to a calling out by someone in the machinima community, commenting on the 3rd Content Cop 64 video criticizing it for invading the privacy of the person being talked about in the video which were said by the guest in it. It was later deleted by 64ify and on the same day apologized for making the video and said he was going to continue making machinimas from now on. Content Cop 64 never returned after this and a few days after changed his alias once again to "Camptendo".

Continuing to make Super Mario 64 content

3 days after the creation of the Camptendo alias, he changed it after getting told by Bugtendo it was similar to his name. 64ify then later changed his name to what it now is today, "64ify". Due to a fallout with sm64rise in July, he changed his name again and made a YouTube channel/Twitter account with the name Betatastic when he moved to the SM64 Beta community. The YouTube channel was then deleted, as he wanted to stick to being on Twitter, uploading memes relating to SM64 and it's beta. He then changed his name to "Mavivo" at one point during the time he was on Twitter.

In the beginning of September, he made a SM64 beta hack called "Pre64". It attempts to recreate the E3 build of Super Mario 64. The hack was sometime cancelled in the same month. In October, changed his named twice to to "Tuskta" and "Zesizo". Later in the same month, his account was suspended for unknown reasons. He then decided to move to the Henry Stickmin fandom, going by "Kucaus" until leaving it in the beginning of December, which caused him to make a new channel with the name "64ify" and come back to making SM64 content once again on December 16, 2020. For most of 2021, 64ify continued to make Super Mario 64 videos.

False copyright strikes

Near the end of year, he got sent a strike on a expose video he made on a infamous person known in the SM64 community for doing many horrible things. The strike was later removed the same day he made a tweet about it. A month later, he got sent 3 full strikes which led to his entire channel getting deleted on December 18th. After this, said person who was attacking 64ify went on to falsely strike other peoples videos, mostly people that had connections with 64ify himself. This situation lasted for nearly 2 weeks and everyone that were effected got their strikes removed by YouTube. To celebrate, 64ify released his Year in Review on SM64 Machinima.

2022 SMG4 Hacking

On October 1, 2022, SMG4's Twitter and Discord accounts got hacked. During the situation, 64ify snatched the handle in order to protect it until Luke got his twitter and discord accounts back. The next day, he got them back and his twitter handle was later returned. After this, he later followed 64ify and still does to this day.

As of 2024, 64ify continues to make Super Mario 64 stuff.
